ART Corporate Solutions was founded by Dr. P. Michael Leahy (Developer of Active Release Techniques). Dr. Leahy's professional goal has always been to help individuals recover from soft tissue ailments as rapidly as possible. In the early days, ART was mainly sought out by athletes searching for rapid and effective resolution to their strains and overuse conditions. In the late 80's and 90's when carpal tunnel and related syndromes became more prevalent ART began training doctors and therapists (of manual therapies) via post-graduate certification programs. Today there are over 13,000 certified ART providers in the world. ART trains its providers in over 700 specific protocols covering virtually every muscular ailment in the entire body (neck, shoulders, mid back, low-back, sciatica, hamstrings, shin splints, plantar fascia pain, elbows, forearms, wrists, and hands).
In 2003 ART was asked to begin delivering preventative level ART on-site at one Colorado based corporation who was experiencing exorbitant recordable injuries in the area of soft tissue. Each case was costing that company anywhere from $3,000 to $30,000. After ART was on-site for one year, providing first aid and wellness services, that company realized an 80% reduction in workers' compensation claims and a greater than 60% reduction in OSHA recordable injuries. VPP auditors recognized the ART program as a Best Management Practice, and the word began to spread rapidly through the Health and Safety world.
ART developed a comprehensive management program to deploy services at corporations throughout North America. ART formed the ART Elite Provider Network (EPN), through which only the best of the best ART providers are recruited to deliver corporate services. These professionals must pass additional hands on practical tests to insure a high level of care, and are put through OSHA guideline training.
With the ART Corporate Solutions program, North American corporations now have a safe and effective system to prevent aches and pains from escalating to severe, costly, and recordable injuries. Employees are working stronger, longer, and happier. Worker's compensation claims are reducing. Over time (as experience modifier rates drop), client companies are reporting reductions in worker's compensation premiums.
